These Terms of Sale supplement this website’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We are putting this information here for folks who want to buy something from us (even when that something is discounted to free), because we know that you might have more specific concerns about your financial transaction and how you will get the products that you buy. But, you still need to read and agree to all of the fine print that comes with using our website.
Your Personal Financial Information
Is none of our business. Really. Gainsage operates its online store through the encrypted connections on this website; but, as we explain in our Privacy Policy, we use third party gateways (Square and PayPal) to process the financial transactions. We don’t ever collect your personal financial information.
Returns and Replacements
Gainsage does not accept returns or exchanges. We work hard to provide high quality games at affordable prices. Please review each game or product description and any supplemental materials before placing an order to make sure that it is good fit for you and the community in which you game.
We will gladly replace damaged or defective items and/or game components if notified within 60 days of purchase (although we require a receipt/proof of purchase; we cannot provide replacements for second-hand games). We want you to be able to enjoy our games as they were intended.
To request a replacement for a defective/damaged item, please, contact us.
If you find something in one of our games that you think was a mistake, or that could be improved, please leave us a comment. Gaming is interactive and if you are willing to help us make our games better, we are willing to make better games. You would be improving the gaming experience for others.
Sales
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow your minor dependent to make a purchase through this website.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the services on this website (including by purchasing products), violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.
Shipping
Some of our products are available immediately upon purchase as a download for “print and play.” But we know how great it is to get and to give beautiful, physical books and games; and, sometimes how physical products are just a much more convenient and enjoyable way to experience games and our love for the medium. So, some of our products require more effort to get into your hands.
We encourage you to look for these at your local hobby, game, and comic shops, or at other stores. We’ll do our best to identify those locations on this website. You also might be able to catch us at an event or a convention. We’ll try to keep you notified about these appearances here on this website, through social media, and in our newsletter.
If you choose to purchase physical products from our online store, we will do our best to get these into your hands as quickly as possible. We use a variety of carriers to try making shipping as quick, convenient, and cost effective as possible. We do our best to clearly identify all of your options for each product on the product page or in the sales cart.
